Olivia Rodrigo, Kings Of Leon and Noah Kahan lead the stacked first line-up

Mad Cool has announced the first line-up of artists set to perform at the 2025 installment, headlined by Olivia Rodrigo, Kings of Leon and Noah Kahan.

Next year’s edition of the long-running festival will run between July 10 and 12. It will see the event return to the Villaverde venue in Madrid, which festival organizers announced this year had undergone a number of improvements, including a reduction in the number of stages, as well as a general reduction in public capacity to reduce scheduling conflicts and artist overlaps.

Mad Cool members will be able to access a pre-sale on Friday (December 20) at 9:00 GMT until Monday (December 23) at 8.59 GMT. General ticket sales also start on December 23. You can find your tickets hereand see the full line-up poster below.

In addition to headliner Rodrigo, both punk legend Iggy Pop and Alanis Morrisette return to the festival with the latter playing tracks from 1995’s ‘Jagged Little Pill’.

Other artists announced in the first wave of names include Weezer, who will perform in Madrid for the first time in 20 years, Thirty Second to Mars, Gracie Abrams, St. Vincent, Justice, Bloc Party, Kaiser Chiefs, The Wombats, Jet and glass animals.

They will be joined by a host of alternative acts and rising stars such as Foster the People, Future Islands, Bright Eyes, FIDLAR, Benson Boone, Girl In Red, Finneas, Luvcat, Blondshell, Tanner Addell, Artemas, PVRIS, Royel Otis, Arde Bogotá , Natalia Lacunza, Alcalá Norte and Leon Bridges with more to be announced.

The festival has cultivated a lively electronic and dance scene since its inception in 2016, with an entire stage specially designated for it in The Loop, which this year hosted acts such as The Blessed Madonna, DJ Koze, Bonobo and Jayda G.

Mad Cool’s 2024 edition of the festival also saw performances from Dua Lipa, Pearl Jam, Bring Me The Horizon, The Smashing Pumpkins, Garbage, Janelle Monáe, Nothing But Thieves, Tom Odell and more. Check out NMEs roundup of this year’s festival here.
