Comcast expands to Radford – NRVNewsComcast today announced the start of construction to connect nearly 10,000 new homes and businesses in Radford, VA to reliable, high-speed, symmetrical Internet. This network expansion will improve digital infrastructure, promote economic growth and position residents and local businesses for success in an increasingly digital world. The project brings internet, mobile, entertainment and security services Xfinity and Comcast business to residents and businesses for the first time.

The first homes and businesses will be connected to Xfinity and Comcast Business products and services in early 2025. Residents can visit Xfinity.com/mytown to enter their address for further details on construction time and upcoming service availability. Additionally, they can visit their nearby Xfinity Store at 2475 North Franklin Place, Christiansburg, VA 24073.

Comcast’s expansion into Radford is part of the company’s latest investment in Virginia, including:

Lynchburg, VA: Comcast is expanding its network to 12,000 additional homes and businesses throughout the Lynchburg area. As part of this project, 2,100 homes and businesses in the City of Lynchburg will be fully connected by the end of the year, and construction is underway on 3,200 homes and businesses in Forest with services already available to some residents.
Christiansburg, VA: Xfinity and Comcast Business services are available to more than 13,700 homes and businesses in Christiansburg.
Strasburg, VA: Xfinity and Comcast Business services are available to more than 3,300 homes and businesses in Strasburg.
