WEST LAFAYETTE – Purdue football coach Barry Odom continues to delve into his past to fill out his coaching staff.

A day after it was announced that Odom would retain Boilermakers running backs coach Lamar Conard, the hiring of offensive coordinator Josh Henson, who previously coached with Odom at Missouri, was made official.

And now Odom has added to his defensive staff.

Kelvin Green will coach Purdue’s defensive line. Odom and Green previously worked together at Arkansas, where Odom was the defensive coordinator from 2020-22.

“I had the opportunity to work with Kelvin at a previous stop and was so impressed with his knowledge of the game, ability to develop players and mentor young men,” Odom said in a press release. “He will have an immediate impact on his position group and our program.”

Green was a defensive quality control coach at Arkansas the past three seasons after spending the previous nine at Delta State University in Mississippi. At Delta State, Green was the assistant head coach and defensive coordinator.
