Alberta Clipper light snow Sunday night and Monday

Alberta Clipper light snow Sunday night and Monday

WEATHER HISTORY: A significant low rumbles through Missouri this weekend. The northern edge of the system will push heat and moisture into our region. That will give us at least a 50% chance of a rain and snow mix on Sunday. The fallout we received has created one Dense fog advisory for the North Shore from Duluth to Grand Portage. It may remain in effect for the Monday morning commute. As the big low leaves our north country, an Alberta Clipper low will skim the Canadian border and give us a chance for a track to an inch of snow on Monday. After that, there will be another drop in temperatures.

SUNDAY EVENING: Rain and snow showers should end by early evening. But late in the evening the snow cutter gets a chance. Overnight temps should be a static around 33. Winds will be SE 10-20 mph.

MONDAY: The Alberta Clipper will provide a chance for up to an inch of snow. The odds are 40%. The afternoon temperature drops up to 29 from the morning start at 33. Wind will be SE 10-20 mph.

TUESDAY: Skies will be mostly cloudy, but the snow should stop. The low starts at 18. The high will drop to 22. The wind will be SW 10-20 mph.

WEDNESDAY: Partly sunny will break out at least briefly. The low will be 5. The high will hit 15. The wind will be NW 10-20 mph.

REST OF THE WEEK: Temperatures will rise slightly and briefly on Thursday as another clipper allows for a light, light snow. Friday will cool down again, but only briefly. Next Saturday will emerge sunny but chilly.
