Law enforcement responds to report of school shooting at Madison Abundant Life Christian School

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – The Dane County Sheriff’s office is assisting the Madison Police Department with a report of a school shooter at Madison Abundant Life Christian School at 4901 East Buckeye Road, DCSO said around 1 p.m. 11 Monday.

Madison Police are asking people to avoid the 4900 block of East Buckeye Road. The WMTV 15 News crew reports that several roads near the school are closed to traffic.

Madison police reported multiple injuries. They are expected to share more at 12:15 p.m

MDP announced that the SSM Health/Dean Clinic on Stoughton Road will be the reunion area.

Monona PD is one of the many law enforcement agencies assisting Madison PD.

Around 11:20 a.m., a public safety alert was sent out to nearby phones. A neighbor tells WMTV 15 News she heard gunshots.

According to ALCS’ website, the school serves about 200 families. It is a 28-acre campus that serves Kindergarten through 12th grade.
