Harry Potter’s Weasley twins unrecognizable as they take on brand new roles live on This Morning

They rose to fame as the Weasley twins in the Harry Potter films, but actors James and Oliver Phelps are now focusing on what they can conjure up in the kitchen. The identical twin brothers, 38, are set to front the new six-part cooking series, Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking, which starts streaming on Prime Video from December 17.

The show follows pairs of bakers as they compete against each other to create show-stopping Harry Potter-inspired creations in an attempt to impress judges Carla Hall and Jozef Youssef. To promote their new venture, Oliver and James are set to appear on ITV’s This morning on Monday 16 December, where they will join the team in the kitchen and talk about the new cooking range. The twins look unrecognizable from their Harry Potter days, having ditched their long strawberry blonde locks for much shorter looks.

Oliver and James, who hail from Birmingham, starred in the films from 2001 to 2011 and have continued to work together ever since. The pair auditioned for Harry Potter despite having no previous acting experience at the time, but six auditions later they were cast in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, and went on to play Fred and George in all eight films.

James also worked as a runner on the set of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and The Da Vinci Code. The pair have previously been involved with the Harry Potter exhibition as well as video games based on the hit films.

Aside from acting and TV, James and Oliver have launched their own podcast, which is available for streaming on services including Spotify. The first season focused on travel, while the second had guests opening up about their personal lives, and the third – titled Normal Not Normal – saw the pair discuss what ‘normal’ is and whether it exists. Celebrity guests on the podcast include Sasha Banks, Tom Hopper, Evanna Lynch, Mara Wilson, Alfie Enoch and Katie Leung.
