Packers open game vs. Seahawks with two straight TD drives

SEATTLE — Two drives, two touchdowns. Not a bad way for the Green Bay Packers to start Sunday night’s game against the Seattle Seahawks.

And most of that was courtesy of running back Josh Jacobs.

The Packers ran 18 plays en route to a 14-0 lead with 1:54 left in the first quarter, and Jacobs caught the ball on 11 of them – eight carries and three catches for 84 yards and a touchdown. On the game’s opening drive, he touched it on nine of 10 plays, including a 1-yard touchdown run. It is the first time all season that the Packers scored on their first two possessions of the game.

Romeo Doubs, returning after missing two games with a concussion, scored the second touchdown on a 13-yard slant from Jordan Love. He drove his way into the end zone, pulling Julian Love and Riq Woolen with him.
