NFL Week 15: Washington Commanders vs New Orleans Saints 1st Quarter

Week 15 of the 2024/25 NFL season opened with a low-scoring NFC West matchup between the Los Angeles Rams and the San Francisco 49ers. The Rams got the win and are still in the playoff mix as the Niners season continues to unravel. The Washington Commanders visit the New Orleans Saints and opened as road favorites. That line opened at -6.5, but quickly went to -7.5 after QB Derek Carr’s injury. The over/under remained stable at 43.5.

Washington is 8-5 coming off their bye week. They beat the Tennessee Titans 42-19 before the bye, having lost their previous three games against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys.

The Washington Commanders have four games left in the season and are holding on to the 7th seed in the NFL for at least one more week. A win today and a loss by the Green Bay Packers will move them into the 6th seed.
