A close adviser to Donald Trump has issued a warning to the US, claiming the nationwide drone sightings are a chilling government plot.

Charlie Kirk, 31, a right-wing activist and close friend of President-elect Trump, came on X on Friday (Dec. 13) and ranted about the mysterious drones. “WE ARE F*****,” Kirk began calmly. “THE DRONES ARE PROJECT BLUE RAY.” Project Blue Beam is a conspiracy theory that started in the 1990s and claims that government and military organizations plan to use advanced technology to manipulate the world’s population.

Kirk added: “LOOK FOR VIDEOS OF THEM CHANGING FROM BALLS OF LIGHT TO PLANES WHEN THEY ARE FILMING THEN SEE FOR YOURSELF. THE GOVERNMENT IS NOT INVESTIGATING. THEY ARE DOING THIS. WHAT YOU SEE IN THE COMING DAYS IS NOT GOOD.”

The outlandish ‘Project Blue Beam’ conspiracy theory has recently gained traction, with commentators such as Kirk suggesting that the US government might be staging an alien invasion as a pretext to impose an authoritarian system.

Republican leader Trump took to Truth Social to take aim at the drones: “Mysterious drone sightings across the country. Could this really be happening without our government’s knowledge? I don’t think so! Let the public know, and now. Otherwise, shoot them down!” “

The Joe Biden administration has so far offered no explanation for the wave of drone sightings, and the Pentagon claims there is no threat to national security. The vast majority of the mysterious aircraft have been seen in New Jersey, but they have been reported across the country from California to Washington DC.

Republican Congressman Jeff Van Drew speculated that the drones could come from a “hostile mothership”.

“Could it be China? Absolutely. Iran is a definite possibility,” Van Drew said. “I have very credible sources that believe Iran could have a ship off the East Coast. We’re not being told the truth. They’re manipulating the American public , like we’re stupid.”

Donald Trump was reported last month to have used Kirk as a sounding board for potential cabinet picks alongside Elon Musk.
