Paceline, Textron donate bikes to local students

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – Paceline and Textron teamed up to donate bikes to some local students who are part of Textron’s Reaching Potential Through Manufacturing program on Thursday.

In addition to receiving the bikes, they were also given an invitation to participate in the Pace Day event, which is a fundraiser for cancer research.

“First and foremost is the wellness aspect of it,” said James Holmes, vice president of Paceline. “We really want to see these kids get active and stay active and develop good health habits, and the bikes are a great way to do that, all while raising funds and committing dollars to the Georgia Cancer Center for research at the same time.”

Paceline has raised more than $9 million for cancer research this year.
