Justin Herbert is back after an injury scare vs. Chiefs.

The Chargers quarterback clutched his left thigh after a hit by Chiefs linebacker Nick Bolton and remained on the ground as trainers attended to him. He eventually got up and limped off the field with trainers, but was replaced by backup Taylor Heinicke for the next play.

The Chargers failed to convert on third-and-20 and scored on a play with Heinicke at quarterback. The Chiefs took possession on a punt with 3:28 left in the half.

The Chargers then got the ball back with 47 seconds left in the half after a Chiefs touchdown on Kansas City’s ensuing drive. Herbert was back in the lineup.

The Chargers failed to score on their final possession of the half and went into halftime with a 13-0 deficit. But their star quarterback seems to be OK.
