The “Lionesse” season 2 finale, starring actresses Zoe Saldana and Nicole Kidman, is set to air this weekend.

In season 2 of Paramount+’ drama, US CIA chief Kaitlyn Meade (Kidman) and colleague Joe McNamara (Saldana) are forced to find a new lioness agent to infiltrate a Mexican cartel family. Their selection, as Paramount notes in a plot description, is U.S. Army Capt. Josephina “Josie” Carillo (actor Genesis Rodriguez), who learns to be a ground soldier with the support of elite fighters.

Marine turned operative Cruz Manuelos (Laysla De Oliveira), the terrorist infiltrating agent from last year’s “Special Ops: Lioness,” also returns this season.

The show’s executive producer is Taylor Sheridan. Kidman and Saldana also serve as executive directors.
