Løvindes coming back for season 3?

It is difficult to predict what the future holds Lioness. The Taylor Sheridan series starring Zoe Saldaña and Nicole Kidman originally set out to follow a special unit of the CIA made up of undercover female agents. Season 2 hasn’t exactly stuck to that plot. Still, the Sheridan universe continues to be a hit with audiences. Over 12.4 million viewers tuned in Lioness‘s season 2 premiere, according to The packaging. I can’t say how many will make it to the finals.

Season 2 sent the Lioness team on a mission involving Mexican cartels, the kidnapping of a US congresswoman, child trafficking rings and even China’s plan to invade Taiwan. If Paramount decides to renew the series for a third season, I fear the new multilevel conspiracy the series will bring next. A random stolen bicycle could turn into Russians smuggling nuclear codes across the North Korean demarcation line in an instant. To know Lionessit probably will. What could happen in Lioness season 3?

Will Lioness Returning for Season 3?

Zoe Saldaña narrated Vanity Fair last month that she is “signed up for at least three seasons.” There’s no word on when—or if—Lioness returns, but I have yet to see Sheridan shaft one of his own shows. Outside Lionesscreated Sheridan as well Yellowstone, 1923, King of Tulsa, Farmer, Mayor of Kingstown, Lawman: Bass Reeves, and the future Yellowstone spin-off Madison. I don’t know where he finds the time. But if Saldaña says she’s down for three seasons, I trust Season 3 is on the way.

No one else in the cast has spoken about their future with the series yet. Deadline revealed last month that Genesis Rodriguez is joining the third season of Netflix The night agent, but there is nothing stopping her from appearing in both shows. The bigger question is: Will big names like Morgan Freeman and Nicole Kidman continue to appear in the series? As far as I know, Kidman has never been in a TV series for more than two seasons. (Unless we see it Big Little Lies season 3 after all.)

Lioness‘s third outing could look completely different when we return. Many fans theorized that Cruz (Laysla De Oliveira) would take over the program at the end of season 2 so that Joe (Saldaña) could spend more time with his family. It’s still a possibility! It may take another season before she is ready.
