Kelly Clarkson Fans Will Celebrate This Rockefeller Tree Lighting News

The holiday season is in full swing, with Thanksgiving over and the countdown to Christmas well under way. There’s one tradition that always has us ready to get into the holiday spirit: The Rockefeller Center Christmas tree Lighting in New York City.

The tradition of the annual event started in 1931, and since 1997, people have been able to watch the Rockefeller Christmas Tree Lighting live on NBC for “Christmas at Rockefeller Center“holiday special. This year is no different, with the ceremony being broadcast live Wednesday 4 December at 8 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock. What’s more, people can see Kelly Clarkson host the festivities for the second year in a row, where she will welcome artists to participate in the special throughout the evening.

As it turns out, the answer is: yes! Kelly will not only host the 2024 Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting. She will also treat viewers in person and at home to carols that evoke the joyous spirit of the season. What’s more, she wants to join Today hosts Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb, Al Roker and Craig Melvin to light the Christmas tree.

As for who else will perform during the 2024 Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony, people will get to see Dan + Shay, Backstreet Boys, Jennifer HudsonLittle Big City and more. Additionally Radio City Rockettes will preview their annual “Christmas Spectacular“from Radio City Music Hall, making everything bright and cheery.
