WWE Survivor Series 2024 Predictions

WWE The Survivor Series is set to take place tonight (Sat 30 Nov 2024) from Vancouver. It starts at 6 p.m. ET with the countdown show leading right into the main course at 7 p.m. ET Luckily for you Cagesiders, our staff of erudite wrestling blowhards are here to help figure out how the event will play out with predictions for every match on the card.

Let’s get to it.

SURVIVOR SERIES PREDICTIONS

War games: OG Bloodline + CM Punk vs. New Bloodline + Bronson Reed

Geno Mrosko: CM Punk is going to get that favor, and we’re going to be wondering for a long time exactly what that favor is. Select: OG Bloodline + CM Punk

Sean Rueter: Hard to see Roman lose two matches in a row. A win for Team OTC here gives The Rock more reason to appear at an upcoming big show (like Raw’s Netflix premiere) and an interesting plot point in the upcoming CM Punk/Seth Rollins feud. Select: OG Bloodline + CM Punk

Kyle Decker: I can’t imagine OG Bloodline reuniting just to lose this big fight. Yes, there are problems among the OGs. Yes, CM Punk is a wild card. But I think it’s time for Solo to stop claiming these victories. Plus, since CM Punk owes Paul Heyman a mysterious favor that really only works if they win, it has to go that way. Choose: The OG Bloodline & CM Punk

Claire Elizabeth: Paul Heyman is the sage for a reason, and his move to call in CM Punk as the fifth man for the Original Bloodline is something we’ll look back on as the moment the tide turned and Solo Sikoa’s fortunes began to wane . Pick: CM Punk & the Original Bloodline (Jey Uso, Jim Uso, Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn)

Cain A. Knight: Solo’s team won earlier this month at the Crown Jewel because Roman’s crew was always going to get the biggest win at the War Games. Select: OG Bloodline + CM Punk

Marcus Benjamin: This was always about war games. No, this isn’t the last match between these two sides, and there’s a lot of intrigue in everything that got OG Bloodline to this point, but they get the W here. What interests me most, as with most Bloodline matches, is what happens after the fight. Select: OG Bloodline & Chick Magnet Punk

M. G0MEZ: While I would have preferred this to have been true Bloodline versus Bloodline, the additions of CM Punk and Bronson Reed add some unique twists: Will Reed go for a tsunami from the top of the cage? What favor will Reigns or Heyman owe Punk? WWE has apparently been building up to this moment since April, so I don’t see how it ends with anything less than a win for OGB. Pick: The OG Bloodline & CM Uso

War games: Rhea Ripley & Bianca Belair & Naomi & Iyo Sky & Bayley vs. Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez & Nia Jax & Tiffany Stratton & Candice LeRae

Geno Mrosko: There’s really no reason to think the babyfaces will win here, given the nature of how the team came together and the overall picture in each brand’s division. However, I’m going to guess that this is where Tiffany Stratton finally pulls the trigger and we’re going to need a babyface win to help with that. Choose: Rhea Ripley & Bianca Belair & Naomi & Iyo Sky & Bayley

Sean Rueter: With something as thrown together as this, no need to beat babyfaces. Of course, there are possible tensions in their ranks. But that’s also true on the other side, and Stratton is sure to cause a distraction with two teammates she can cash in on. The good girls will have some suspenseful moments, but the Jade Cargill mystery won’t be solved so quickly. Choose: Rhea Ripley & Bianca Belair & Naomi & Iyo Sky & Bayley

Kyle Decker: I usually split the faces and heels that win these matches and I have the babyfaces going on in the men’s match. However, I think there is too much to gain for the good girls who also win here. Rhea has been on the losing end of her feud with Liv for quite some time. Iyo Sky has a title fight coming up. And if the babyface team wins, they can use this to set up a challenger for Jax. Choose: Ripley, Belair, Naomi, Sky, Bayley

Claire Elizabeth: Breakup of the babyface team will come to a boil along with Rhea’s injury and lead the team with two champions on them to win the day. Pick: Candice LeRae, Judgment Day (Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez), Nia Jax & Tiffany Stratton

Cain A. Knight: It only takes one person to surrender to lose the War Games, and Candice LeRae is the obvious weak link in this match. Choose: Rhea Ripley & Bianca Belair & Naomi & Iyo Sky & Bayley

Marcus Benjamin: While it’s tempting to pick the heel team, there’s still a little too much drama on their side of the ledger. Tiffany has that folder, and how long can she last using it against her frenemy? Rhea is on the warpath, Bianca fights for revenge and IYO wants a championship that currently has Liv Morgan’s name on it. But what about Bayley? We’ll see. Choose: Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, Naomi, IYO SKY and Bayley

M. G0MEZ: Waste of WarGames; this should have been a traditional 5-on-five Survivor Series Elimination match. That said, highspots, kendo sticks and other weapons galore as the good girls march on to victory. Choose: Rhea Ripley & Bianca Belair & Naomi & Iyo Sky & Bayley

World Heavyweight Championship: GUNTHER (c) vs. Damian Priest

Geno Mrosko: Priest is fun and he’s done a lot for this show, but there’s not much hope for him in this. Select: GUNTHER

Sean Rueter: Shout out to Priest for turning around without having to change his character and making this show an entertaining one. But no. Select: Gunther

Kyle Decker: I appreciate the minor crisis of faith that GUNTHER had after losing cleanly to Cody Rhodes. (He also lost to Sami, of course, but he was always able to write it off as a fluke.) And that has added a wrinkle to this program. But this is about GUNTHER getting his groove back and not about Priest winning the title. I wonder if Finn Bálor costs Priest again, but I think he loses cleanly this time. Select: GUNTHER

Claire Elizabeth: All these mind games about GUNTHER losing his edge are just that – despite his more thoughtful demeanor of late, the Ring General is just as deadly, and Damian Priest just doesn’t have what it takes to top him here. Select: GUNTHER

Cain A. Knight: GUNTHER gets his mojo back. Select: GUNTHER

Marcus Benjamin: You know what? I’m going with the guy who, at least from a story point of view should win. Select: Damian Priest

M. G0MEZ: Without the help of Ludwig Kaiser or Finn Bálor, I don’t see how a less than confident Gunther wins. After listening to Triple H put him over at previous press conferences, I see at least one more title reign in Priest’s future. Select: Damian Priest

Intercontinental Championship: Bron Breaker (c) vs. Sheamus vs. Ludwig Kaiser

Geno Mrosko: I really hope to see Sheamus win this title one day. But today is not that day. Select: Bron Breaker

Sean Rueter: Come on, Haitch. Do it. Make Fella the Grand Slam Champion. Plus, it would be fun to see the IC get hot potato-ed around a bit after a historically long reign. Pick: Sheamus

Kyle Decker: I don’t see a reason for Bad Ass to lose here. Select: Bron Breaker

Claire Elizabeth: Bron is explosive and undeniable and cunning enough to use Kaiser and Sheamus’ obsession with each other to his advantage, for sure. Select: Bron Breaker

Cain A. Knight: Ludwig is here to get his ass kicked and take the fall. Select: Bron Breaker

Marcus Benjamin: Until he’s ready to move on to bigger and better things, this is Bron’s title. And not even a triple threat changes that. Select: Bron Breaker

M. G0MEZ: If there was ever a time to sneak the IC title on Sheamus, it’s now. I could also see Kaiser stepping up and stealing a win. Ultimately, Breaker needs this. He lost his first round for the title against Sami Zayn, then dropped the belt shortly after winning it to Jey Uso. Losing the title again after merely regaining it would hamper his momentum. Select: Bron Breaker

USA Championship: LA Knight (c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

Geno Mrosko: I could actually see them making a move here considering they seem intent on getting Nakamura over and Knight just doesn’t feel like that big of a deal as champion anymore. Pick: Shinsuke Nakamura

Sean Rueter: Speaking of hot potato-holding secondary belts… Knight was more fun when he was chasing, and a shock win couldn’t hurt as they tried to get Shin’s new gimmick over with. Pick: Shinsuke Nakamura

Kyle Decker: The lack of promo time for LA Knight has been puzzling. That being said, he wins this rushed fight and the feud will likely continue. Pick: LA Knight

Claire Elizabeth: Knight was misted on the move, so he’ll be hot and ready to fight hard to defend his title. Pick: LA Knight

Cain A. Knight: Knight hasn’t been nearly as entertaining as champion, so they might as well give the belt to Shinsuke. Pick: Shinsuke Nakamura

Marcus Benjamin: I don’t know how everyone collectively screwed up LA Knight’s reign. Son was hotter than fish oil in a frying pan in 100 degree weather. Then he got the championship and it all went flatter than a pair of Calvin Klein jeans. That brings us to this match. Is the story about Shinsuke getting a championship or something to heat up LA? It seems like the latter, but to get hot, LA has to lose. Pick: Shinsuke Nakamura

M. G0MEZ: Not since Kramer went after Sister Roberta has anyone lost their Kavorka faster than LA Knight. What is even on the American belt, garlic and vinegar? Either way, the US title could use a shake-up, and as Nak prepares to return to Pro Wrestling NOAH in January, coming home to Japan with a title would help spruce up his image. Pick: Shinsuke Nakamura

This is how we see the card playing out.
