Mahomes was ‘visibly upset’ after brutal firing

The Kansas City Chiefs offensive line has struggled to keep quarterback Patrick Mahomes upright this season, and the reigning Super Bowl MVP is starting to get a little tired of his less-than-stellar protection.

After a long touchdown gave the Las Vegas Raiders the lead Friday night, Mahomes drove the Chiefs’ offense into the Raiders’ red zone.

Desperate for a touchdown, Kansas City appeared to be on the verge of taking the lead over Las Vegas, but a brutal third-down sack by Raiders edge rusher Maxx Crosby left the Chiefs settling for three points.

Mahomes was “visibly upset” after the play, according to a tweet by veteran sports columnist Vahe Gregorian of the Kansas City Star.

Expect the Chiefs’ coaching staff to take a hard look at their offensive line as Kansas City pushes toward the playoffs.
