Live updates how to watch

The Nashville Predators lost in heartbreaking fashion on Wednesday, losing a 2-1 lead in the last 11 seconds against the Flyers before Sean Couturier won the game in overtime for Philadelphia.

Now, the Predators will face another high-scoring offense in the Tampa Bay Lightning on Friday (2 p.m., FanDuel Sports Network South) at Bridgestone Arena.

The Lightning are scoring 3.81 goals per game, good for fourth in the NHL, despite seeing their all-time leading scorer Steven Stamkos sign with Nashville in the offseason. Nikita Kucherov leads Tampa in points (33) and Brayden Point leads in goals (15).

The Predators score just 2.35 goals per game, which is last in the NHL. Filip Forsberg leads the Predators in goals (nine) and Roman Josi leads the team in points (18).

Nashville (7-12-4, 18 points) is tied for last place in the Western Conference and currently has a 15.3% chance to make the playoffs, according to Money Puck. Tampa (11-8-2, 24 points) holds the second wild card position in the Western Conference and has an 89.% chance to make the playoffs.

Roman Josi’s second goal equalises; Nashville PredatorsTampa Bay Lighting tied 2-2

Despite their offensive struggles, the Predators get a lot out of their captain Roman Josi. He scored his second goal of the game to give him seven on the season, all coming in the month of November.

Mark Jankowski made a deft pass to Josi on the play, a good read to see the defender pinch down the middle.

Tampa’s Anthony Cirelli, Brandon Hagel give Lightning 2-1 lead over Predators in 2nd period

Both teams found themselves in the penalty box throughout the second period, but it was Tampa who took advantage while being shorthanded against Nashville.

After Josi failed to keep the puck in the offensive zone, two Lightning penalty killers sped up the ice with no one left on defense. Predators goaltender Juuse Saros did his best, but Anthony Cirelli managed to knock the puck out of the air into the net.

It was the first shorthanded goal allowed by Nashville this season.

Four minutes later, Brandon Hagel deflected a puck by Saros to give the Lightning a 2-1 lead.

Nashville Predators lead Tampa Bay Lightning 1-0 after Roman Josi’s sixth goal

The Predators opened with a goal on their first shot of the game. Roman Josi floated a shot from the blue line with traffic ahead and fooled goalkeeper Jonas Johansson.

It was Josi’s sixth goal of the season. He now leads the team with 19 points.
