Lions vs. Bears Thanksgiving first half live chat, open thread

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.

It’s officially the best holiday on the calendar as we gather around loved ones, savor delicious food, and—of course—watch our Detroit Lions compete at Ford Field.

This year is Chicago Bears is in tow and looking to get off schneid. They’ve lost five in a row, including a pair of heartbreakers to fellow NFC North foes. Last week they lost in overtime to Minnesota Vikings. The previous week, a blocked field goal at the end of regulation prevented their first win over Packers since 2018.

Will they finally break through this week or will the emotional failures take their toll?

Or… doesn’t it even matter because the Lions are 10-1, winners of nine straight, and look like the best team in football?

We’re figuring it out. Kickoff is at 12:30 PM ET, and the game will be televised nationally on CBS.

If you want to spend your Thanksgiving Day with the Pride of Detroit family, stay right here during game time. Scroll down to the comments section and join the live chat once kickoff is underway. Share your thoughts, analysis, feelings or your favorite GIFs.

Then, when the game breaks, go back to the front of the page and look for the second half live chat article. There, the conversation will continue through the last two quarters.

But until then, relax, finish all your food prep, and have a happy Thanksgiving.
