Viral video shows United Airlines passengers violently attacking plane seat

A shocking video of a plane passenger violently attacking his chair during the flight is going viral on social media. The viral clip shared on Reddit shows the passenger standing on his reclining seat and stomping on it repeatedly as fellow passengers look on in shock. At one point, he also tries to dismount the seat by violently jumping on it. According to New York Postthe incident occurred on November 16 aboard a United Airlines flight from Austin to Los Angeles.

According to Postfellow passenger Gino Galofaro filmed the wild incident. He said he woke up to the commotion and stepped in to help contain the disruptive individual. He shared that at first no tried to intervene and stop the passenger from creating trouble. “The flight attendant walked by a couple of times, nobody did anything,” he recalled.

Then Mr. Galofaro in to stop the senseless rampage. He said he and two other passengers “zipped” the man’s hands and feet and “strapped him to the seat”. Upon arrival, the disturber was met by the police.

“Local law enforcement officers met United Flight 502 upon arrival at Los Angeles International Airport after a customer was disturbed. We thank our crew for helping to resolve the situation and working to ensure the safety of everyone on board,” a United spokesperson said Airlines. They added that they subsequently “banned this customer from future United flights”.

Mr. Galofaro, on the other hand, said he hopes to contact the perpetrator’s family to see if he can offer any help.

Meanwhile, users in the comments section joked about the incident. “Maybe there was just a really big spider on the headrest,” one user joked. “Do it yourself to improve seat comfort and quality,” said another.
