Baldur’s Gate 3 to get crossplay, photo mode in major future update

Cross-play will allow multiplayer between all platforms where the game exists, from PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X to Windows and Mac. Photo mode provides a variety of camera, lens and scene settings, as well as finishing effects, frames and stickers to make your party look as cool, cute or menacing as possible.

In addition, each Baldur’s Gate 3 class will receive a new subclass to choose from when they level up. For example, subscribing to the College of Glamor will give Bards more options to heal allies and charm enemies, while the Monk’s Drunken Master subclass revolves around consuming alcohol from your inventory to increase their abilities.

Baldur’s Gate 3 developer Larian Studios isn’t ready to commit to a firm release date for Patch 8, but Baldur’s Gate 3 players can get an early look at these upcoming features by participating in a stress test tentatively scheduled for early January. More information on how to sign up is still coming.
