Long queues on the M25 and A2 due to a broken down vehicle at the Dartford Crossing

Motorists are stuck in long queues on two major routes after an earlier wreck near the Dartford Crossing.

Traffic is being backed up on the M25 anti-clockwise and the A2 on the London-bound carriageway from Gravesend to Bexleyheath.

The vehicle broke down near junction 1a of the M25 to Dartford Crossing, causing congestion at junction 3 to the Swanley Interchange.

It is understood that one of the tunnels was temporarily closed.

There are also 40 minute delays on the A2 near Bluewater Shopping Centre.
