MTR Elizabeth Line Control Room Grades for strike

The RMT has announced industrial action by members of Control Room class at the MTR Elizabeth Line after rejecting the company’s latest pay offer.

Members must strike between Tuesday 31 December 2024 at 21 and Wednesday 1 January 2025 at 20.59.

They also do not work rest days or overtime from Thursday, December 5th until the end of Wednesday, December 18th.

The trade union has rejected the company’s salary offer and is seeking improvements to holiday entitlement and a reasonable reduction in working hours.

RMT general secretary Mick Lynch said: “Our members play a vital role in running the Elizabeth Line and their demands for fair treatment of working time and leave remain unmet.

“The current offer falls short and our members are determined to secure a fair deal.”

The union has called for urgent talks with MTR Elizabeth Line to secure a revised offer.
