Jennifer Lawrence Nailing Cool Mom Style

Since announcing she’s expecting her second child with husband Cooke Maroney back in October, Jennifer Lawrence has appeared on and off the red carpet in a variety of statement looks that elevate your typical maternity attire: Think Christian Lacroix dresses, slim Bottega Veneta dresses and more. Her knack for finding sleek, modern and comfortable pieces hits all the right notes for an idyllic maternity wardrobe – while proving that you don’t have to sacrifice personal style in the process. Earlier this morning, the actor was spotted out and about in New York City in a cool, understated approach to cold-weather layering (having lunch with Sienna Miller, no less). She grounded the look with delicate black trousers, a black sweater and an oversized top coat. But it was her addition of on-trend accessories that really completed the look – including a pop of color with a red scarf, movie star-worthy cat eye sunglasses and a pair of Rihanna-approved Puma suede sneakers. The whole look is very classic New Yorker of hers: the perfect balance between effortless and dressy. The ensemble also gives off a Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen vibe — a fitting reference since Lawrence wears a ton of The Row. In other words: Cool mom alarm.
