What will the weather be like in Colorado Springs today? | Weather

A storm system over southeastern New Mexico will bring rain to the southeastern plains this morning, with little to no impact on areas up and down the I-25 corridor.

“In Colorado Springs, we’re waking up to mostly cloudy skies this morning,” said meteorologist Alan Rose with Gazette news partner KOAA. “As the low pressure moves away from the state this afternoon, sunshine will prevail, with highs this afternoon about 10 degrees warmer than Sunday.”

A colder storm will move into the state on Tuesday, dropping highs in Colorado Springs into the 30s.

“While snow looks less and less likely on Tuesday, we can’t rule out a few showers in the Pikes Peak region,” Rose said. “It will also be windy with gusts up to about 30 mph.”

Wednesday morning will start with cold temperatures in the teens, with the high only warming into the 40s. High pressure will return late this week, with highs in the 50s Thursday and 60s Friday through Saturday.
