Oops! David Warner goes unsold!

The mega auction regarding IPL 2025 is underway now and here is a look at the sequence of events that followed the costliest transaction in history after Pant was sold to Lucknow for Rs 27 crores.

In an interesting development, two cap players went unsold in the auction and that is David Warner and Devdutt Padikkal. They are the only two players not sold at the auction so far.

While Warner is an all-round great in the sport and arguably one of the very best players in the IPL, he was shockingly ignored by every team. This could be in relation to his poor form in recent years with Delhi Capitals.

As for Padikkal, his career has been in a downward spiral after the magnificent maiden season with RCB. His stint with Lucknow ended in disaster and he is out of an IPL contract now.
