Charli XCX’s mysterious green light teases potential tour stop

Fans were sent into a frenzy on Thursday when a mysterious green light illuminated the Moody Center sign. It spelled “austin”. The cryptic track sparked immediate speculation that pop sensation Charli XCX might be making a pit stop in the Texas capital.

This isn’t the first time Charli’s played with her fans. She previously teased her “Brat” remix album with a series of cryptic green light displays across the nation. Each illuminated city hinted at a featured artist. Ariana Grande’s hometown of Boca Raton lit up green, while New York City lit up for Julian Casablancas. A smart, bold move that left fans guessing and begging for more.

Charli XCX is back and better than ever

This five-city tour will be your first chance to catch her live since her electrifying “Sweat” tour last October. Do you remember it? The one where she brought out Troye Sivan to perform seductive renditions of tracks like “One of Your Girls”? Yes, that one. Get ready for more surprises, more attitude and a whole lot of Charli.

Shygirl, a London badass, joined Charli on the North American leg of the “Sweat” tour, bringing her dark, electronic vibes to the stage. She not only killed it as an opener, but also lent her unique sound to the “Brat” remix album where she reimagined “365.”

Who is going with Charli on this tour? Your guess is as good as ours. Considering her previous tours, it’s probably someone from her remix album. Maybe we get a pop star extravaganza with Addison Rae or a reggaeton driven tour with Bb trickz. Or maybe she’ll surprise us with New York’s sleaze king, The Dare.

Brat tour 2025 brings the heat back to Austin

There’s no doubt that the tour will attract people ready to thaw out from the Texas winter weather. Although the star hasn’t released any new music, it doesn’t look like her momentum is slowing down. Last week she was the host and musical guest on Saturday Night Live. She later went on to perform a free surprise show for New Yorkers in Times Square.

Outside of Austin, the star will also perform in Minneapolis, Rosemont and Brooklyn.
