Khalid confirms he is gay after being outed

R&B star Khlaid has come out as gay after being outed by another singer.

The 26-year-old posted a rainbow flag next to the exclamation point on the X, followed by, “there you go. next topic please lol.”

Someone replied: “Wait, hope Mr. Khalid is not GHEE.” To which Khalid replied “I am! And that’s okay.”

Khalid shared another X post that read:

“I let out and the world keeps turning. Let’s get this straight (lmao) I’m not ashamed of my sexuality! Really it’s not a big deal! But I’m fine with me. love you guys.”

Khalid’s come-out comes moments after internet personality Hugo D Almonte posted a photo of the two with the caption, “Bitch ass (ninja emoji) lied and said I broke into his house because I didn’t want him.”

The confusing post comes after a series of tweets apparently directed at Khalid. One reader: “One of your favorite gay rappers ate my ass, one of your favorite gay R&B singers sucked my d–k and it was really bad.”

Another read: “One of your favorite gay R&B singers offered me pink cocaine. I refuse f–king crackhead stop letting these people in the business.”

Another reader: “I dated this dumb ass singer he’s ugly as f–k but he tried to set me up and lie and say I broke into his house because I broke up with him like why would I go to your house and do all that if I broke up with your stupid ass!”

His final tweet before sharing the photo of the two read: “Y’all really want me to blow this up.”

Khalid is a Grammy-nominated singer with a handful of hit songs, including “Young, Dumb, & Broke” and “Love Lies” featuring Normani. He has been quiet about his sexuality until now.

He is already receiving support from his peers. Singer and producer MNEK wrote, “loser Loser LOSER LOSER behavior @hugodalmonte,” followed by another post that read, “I don’t like that shit, it’s so WHACCCCCCKKKKKK.”
