Man barricades himself in home during domestic incident involving firearm

JACKSON COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) – There is a large law enforcement presence Thursday night in the Sandyville area of ​​Jackson County after a domestic incident involving a firearm, Jackson County 911 dispatchers say.

The incident was reported after 5:00 PM in the area of ​​Panther Lane and Trace Fork Road.

No injuries have been reported.

Jackson County Sheriff Ross Mellinger said a suspect fired shots and a man has barricaded himself in a home.

Law enforcement was in the process of obtaining arrest and search warrants.

First responders on the scene include the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, West Virginia State Police, Ravenswood Police Department and Jackson County EMS.

Just after 7:30 p.m., the scene was cleared, according to the police.
