5 Massachusetts Businesses Make Oprah’s 2024 ‘Favorite Things’ List

The gift guide emphasizes small businesses and women-, BIPOC-, and LGBTQ-owned businesses.

Winfrey’s “Favorite Things” features 116 hand-picked products for everyone from book lovers to grandchildren.

This year, the list includes five companies with Massachusetts ties.

Pittsfield-based interior design company Annie Selke was founded by Annie Selke in 1994. The company’s products are available in more than 2,000 stores nationwide. Winfrey included Annie Selke’s Fab Faux Throw on her list. The double sided rug which is $158 on Amazoncomes in four different colors: ivory, sand, mineral and olive.

Bose, headquartered in Framingham, is celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2024. Winfrey included Bose’s Ultra Open Earbuds ($249) on her list. The earphones have 48 hours of battery life and a fit designed to stay in the ear. The earphones come in white, black, moonstone blue and diamond.

Chocolate Therapy is located at 63 Andrew Ave. in Wayland. The chocolate shop sells handmade truffles, offers chocolate tastings and much more. Winfrey included the company’s $49 Trio Nut Bark Collection on her list. The collection offers dark chocolate with almonds, milk chocolate with cashews and white chocolate with pistachios.

Ninja’s CREAMi Deluxe 11-in-1 ice cream and frozen treats made Winfrey’s list. The device is available at Amazon for $219 and is perfect for making sweet treats from “sorbet, slushies, gelato, Italian ice cream, frozen yogurt,” Winfrey wrote. Ninja is headquartered in Needham.

WS Game Company, which is based in Manchester-by-the-Sea, was founded in 2000. The game company offers several collections including Winfrey’s choice: the Vintage bookshelf collection. The collection offers a range of fun and classic board games from Monopoly to Chutes and Ladders. The games are all in small boxes that fit on a shelf.
