The Memphis Tigers and San Francisco Dons meet Thursday in college basketball action from the Chase Center. Here is a San Francisco vs Memphis prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best San Francisco vs Memphis pick.

Memphis Tigers betting preview

Memphis has yet to be as busy as many other teams this year with only three games in the books. However, all three have been victories. The Tigers took out Missouri 83-75 in their opener and UNLV 80-74 in game two to kick things off.

Friday against Ohio, the Tigers were up 43-38 at halftime. Memphis rolled in the second half on a 51-32 stretch and took the blowout victory 94-70. Top scorer was PJ Haggerty with 23 points and seven rebounds. Tyrese Hunter added 21 points.

San Francisco Dons Betting Preview

Over on the Dons’ side, they have four games in the box this year and all four have been wins. San Francisco beat Cal Poly 86-78 in the opener, then took out Boise State 84-73. Game three was an 84-54 blowout win over Long Beach State.

The game against Chicago State on Saturday saw the Dons pick up their biggest win yet. San Francisco was up 44-12 at halftime and scored another 38 points from there in an 82-37 blowout. Tyrone Riley led the way with 28 points with three boards.

San Francisco vs Memphis Prediction

I’m staying with San Francisco. The Dons have been pretty impressive so far, dispatching all participants with four straight wins. San Francisco held an overmatched Chicago State team to just 23.6 percent shooting in their last outing and held a 47-33 rebounding edge. That makes 82 or more points in every game so far for the Dons.

As for Memphis, they are coming off a solid effort against Ohio, shooting a blistering 72.2 percent (13-of-18) from 3-point range and 19 team assists. The Tigers themselves have looked pretty good so far this year; we should have a fun matchup here. Ultimately though, I think the Dons have a slightly better cover (and potential gain).
