The Butterball Turkey Talk-Line offers expert advice for successful Thanksgiving dinners

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Thanksgiving is fast approaching, and whether you’re new to hosting or have done it before, getting the meal just right can be stressful. The Butterball Turkey Talk-Line is here to help you spend less time in the kitchen and more time with your loved ones.

“We have over 50 turkey experts and they are all here willing to help callers and cooks who have questions,” said Barb Robinson, Butterball Turkey Talk-Line Supervisor.

Robinson said they get hundreds of thousands of calls each year, but the most common is about thawing the turkey.

“That’s probably the most stressful part for most chefs, they don’t realize you have to allow 4kg a day in the fridge. So a 20lb turkey would take four days of thawing time in your fridge,” said Robinson.
