Kevin Durant, Bradley Beal out for Phoenix Suns matchup with Knicks

Phoenix Suns starters Bradley Beal and Kevin Durant have been ruled out for Wednesday’s game against New York Knicks (8-6) at the Footprint Center with stress injuries in the left calf.

The Suns (9-6) are 1-5 without Durant and have lost their last four games without Durant and Beal, who last played in Phoenix’s last win Nov. 12 at the Utah Jazz.

Durant is scheduled for a two-week re-evaluation later this week. He suffered his injury Nov. 8 in Dallas.

Suns center Jusuf Nurkic is questionable for Wednesday’s game with a sprained left ankle, sitting out Monday’s home loss to the Orlando Magic.

Nurkic initially sprained his ankle against the Mavericks and has been in and out of the lineup since.

The Suns are also without two-way player Collin Gillespie with a right ankle fracture. He suffered his injury while playing for Phoenix’s G League team, the Valley Suns.

Gillespie is due for a re-evaluation in three weeks based on the four-week timetable the Suns gave when they announced the injury on Nov. 12.
