Freshman Shananiah Cassidy places first at Mike Clock Open in Pacific debut

Five Pacific wrestlers placed at the Mike Clock Women’s Open Sunday inside the Stoller Center. Making her collegiate debut, freshman Shananiah Cassidy won the 124-pound division. Cassidy finished 4-0 with three pins, including in the final over Big Bend Community College’s Natalie Marcyes-Weeks. Zainab Ibrahim, a transfer from Umpqua Community College, also made her Pacific debut, placing third at 138. Ibrahim went 4-1 with two pins and a technical fall.
