Public housing waiting list applications open for sites throughout Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Memphis Housing Authority has officially opened several public housing, site-based waiting lists for qualified applicants.

Those who are eligible may apply online from 8 on November 18 to November 20 at

MHA says that application does not guarantee a place on the public housing waiting list and is not an offer of housing support. Applicants will be placed on the list by random selection.

Information on site openings, age and income requirements can be found at Memphis Housing Authority website.

MHA says interested residents can submit applications to multiple locations, and those on the Housing Choice Voucher Program waiting list can also apply, although the qualifications for both programs are different.

Individuals with disabilities who need help applying for a public housing waitlist should call 901-544-1107 or email [email protected]. Those with hearing or speech impairments who use TDD or TTY technology can call Tennessee Relay Services at 7-1-1 for assistance.
