One person has died and over a dozen others were hospitalized due to an E. coli outbreak linked to recalled organic carrots, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

On Saturday, Grimmway Farms recalled several sizes and brands of baby and whole organic carrots linked to the outbreak.

Of the 39 people reported to have been affected by the outbreak, one person died and 15 were hospitalized, according to CDC. Those affected live in 18 states.

The organic carrots are from several brands sold by Grimmway Farms, the agency said. Although the affected carrots are likely no longer in stores, they may still be in people’s homes.
