Hawaii woman apparently disappears in California: ‘We can’t find her’

“LAPDX has been helpful. They’ve been trying to find CCTV footage. We got that picture of her getting on the plane,” said Larie Pidgeon.

Hannah’s family said her texts seemed to change tone before stopping altogether, and a strange post on her Instagram on Sunday, Nov. 10, featuring LeBron James and Nike logos, was discovered to be from an event at The Grove.

They searched the internet for any video taken by the contestants and found a short clip showing Hannah walking with headphones on.

“We’re 100% positive. And as of today, we talked to the videographer who made that video and got a time stamp that she was here at the Grove at 3:40 p.m. Sunday,” Pidgeon said. “This is going on for six days, where we haven’t seen her and her phone has been off for six days!”

“Hannah is sweet and loving and kind and she wouldn’t make any of us worry.”

Hannah’s father and another aunt are also in California to find her, while Hannah’s older sister will fly out on Saturday, November 16th to help as well. Hannah’s mother stays in Hawaii with Hannah’s little sister, Hope.

“We kind of have an unwritten rule that we always check in, whether it’s me, Syd, Hope, Hannah, we, it’s like, ‘Okay, I’m here and I’m safe,'” Hannah’s mother said , Brandi Kobayashi.

“It’s not normal behavior for her to just disappear or have something planned like that because when she has her mind set on something as far as traveling,” said Hannah’s older sister, Sydni Kobayashi.

“Come hell or high water, she’s there,” Brandi said.

“And that’s why we’re so grateful to the news media, to the media, to everyone covering this and trying to help us find our missing niece, daughter, sister,” Pidgeon said.
