Please Don’t Destroy Charli XCX Roasts in Cut-For-Time ‘SNL’ Sketch

Although lots of sketches are cut for time Saturday Night Livenone were as cutting as Charli XCX’s digital short with Please Don’t Destroy.

i’Mean cute‘, the 9x Grammy nominee goes toe-to-toe with the comedy trio (Ben Marshall, John Higgins and Martin Herlihy), grilling each other in the lobby of 30 Rockefeller after bumping into them during a series of romantic-comedy- meetings.

After running into Marshall in the hallway and talking about their favorite book, Charli says, “Hey, this might be crazy, but do you ever… see where the hell you’re going? You just came at me like a rhinoceros , you dead-eyed ginger.”

“Sorry, I guess I’m just confused,” Marshall said. “It’s November. Shouldn’t you be put away with the rest of the Halloween decorations?”

The celebrity host/musical guest then bumped into Higgins, who she called a “stupid, hairy Italian,” telling him, “I can smell your garlic breath from down the hall.”

She then catches Herlihy trying to steal her purse from her shoulder before showing her a picture he drew of her being hit by a garbage truck. “I call that wishful thinking,” he said.

“Funny, I thought you’d be a fan,” Charli said. “Most lesbians are.”

After calling Please Don’t Destroy “the all-male reboot of Hocus Pocus,” the Abrupt the artist really insulted them by telling Herlihy that he “has no ass”.

“And by the way, Charli, we’re way more ‘Brat’ than you. Because to us, ‘Brat’ stands for ‘being really great together,'” Marshall said before he, Higgins, and Herlihy tumbled down the stairs.

The trio that came along SNL in 2021, have become known for their self-deprecating shorts, which have featured Taylor Swift, Dakota Johnson and more owning them with brutal insults.
