Metro Nashville Public Schools showcases what the district has to offer with its 3rd annual Celebration of Schools Parade and Fair on Saturday afternoon.

The event is from 1pm to 5pm at Nissan Stadium.

Superintendent Dr. Adrienne Battle says it’s an opportunity to let the community know what’s happening at the schools and what they have to offer.

“This is a very important event and opportunity for our families in Nashville. It is one of our only opportunities where every school will be represented. Our educators and our families can work closely together,” said Dr. Battle.

There will be musical performances, free food, games and giveaways.

School officials will also have the opportunity to explain and answer questions about the school’s election process.

“So having everyone in the same place at the same time allows us to maximize the best of what we have in Nashville. Our educators and our families come together to create partnerships on behalf of our students,” said Dr. Battle.

“At Metro Nashville Public Schools, we have a mantra, ‘Every Student Known’ This allows us to get to know our students early, to connect with them often and continue to offer programs and school opportunities that fit their individual need.”

Dr. Battle also says the district is experiencing some of the highest graduation rates and TCAP scores in history, in part because of the relationships they have with families and the community.

“Having this connection to the family community is important because our schools don’t thrive on their own. Having good communities and family partnerships is important to the critical success we’re seeing.”

There will be free public parking at H and R Nord. With overflow available in lot R South.
