Lots of sun Friday through Sunday with a supermoon

So the weekend is here and the weather pattern looks no different. We have more dry weather, no chance of precipitation and temperatures returning to above average.

By morning, the nearly full and brilliant Beaver Moon is likely to have set in the western sky, but with all the clear skies over the next few days, you’ll have another opportunity to see it rise tonight a few minutes before 4 pm and set again tomorrow morning at 7 o’clock. One thing to note is that the moon rises in the northeast and sets in the northwest, similar to where the sun rises and sets in the summer months.

As we get the temps rising this morning, we’ll be well into the 50s this afternoon with a bit of a breeze, but should be relatively comfortable. A red flag warning has once again been raised for increased fire danger. Up north in eastern Maine, a winter weather advisory is in effect for the potential for a little slick travel this morning.
