Commanders vs. Eagles injury report

One day closer to Thursday night’s game against Washington, and everyone is just a little bit healthier on the Eagles’ roster.

The entire active roster and tackle Jordan Mailta, who is on injured reserve, would have practiced in some capacity Tuesday. The Eagles held a walkthrough, so their injury report is an estimate.

“I’m feeling good. I’m just relying on the daily goals that I set every day just to try to prepare for this game,” Mailata said Tuesday after the team’s briefing. “It’s been a long time since I’ve been on the court, it feels like it’s been a while. I’m pretty excited.”

The Eagles waived tight end Jack Stoll on Tuesday, creating an open spot on the active roster if they choose to activate Mailata on Thursday night. Mailata has missed the last four games with a hamstring injury suffered in Week 6 against Cleveland. Fred Johnson has started in Mailata’s absence.

“Not too sure yet. Not too sure. Just taking it day by day,” Mailata said when asked if he’s playing against the Commanders. “A ton more reps, got to knock the rust off. I got to feel confident stepping on that field. I trust the coaches and the program they put in place for me knowing I was going to get back to this game . Really just checking boxes just to get back on track.”

The Eagles didn’t practice Monday, but if they had, four players would have missed practice: linebacker Nakobe Dean (groin), tight end Dallas Goedert (ankle), cornerback Darius Slay (ankle) and wide receiver DeVonta Smith (hamstring).

All four of those players would have been limited participants on Tuesday.

Defensive end Bryce Huff (wrist) would have been a full participant again, along with Mailata.

LIMITED PARTICIPATION
• LB Nakobe Dean (Groin)
• TE Dallas Goedert (ankle)
• CB Darius Slay (ankle)
• WR DeVonta Smith (hamstring)

FULL PARTICIPATION
• DE Bryce Huff (Wrist)
• T Jordan Mailata (hamstring)

No changes for Washington: CB Marshon Lattimore still sidelined

The commanders held a review for the second day in a row Tuesday, and their injury report remained the same as Monday’s.

It appears cornerback Marshon Lattimore, acquired from the Saints at the trade deadline, will have to wait until after the mini-bye to make his Washington debut. Lattimore would not have practiced again Tuesday with a hamstring injury. At kicker, Zane Gonzalez will likely get another week of action with Austin Seibert nursing a right hip injury. Linebacker Nick Bellore is sidelined with a knee injury.

Some of rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels’ key teammates on offense would have been limited in practice Tuesday — running back Brian Robinson Jr. (hamstring), both starting tackles in Brandon Coleman (shoulder) and Andrew Wylie (shoulder) and center Tyler Biadasz (ribs, thumb and foot).

The game’s status report will be released on Wednesday.
