INJURY UPDATE: Deandre Ayton (R Index Finger Sprain) is Doubtful for tonight’s game vs. MY.

There is no further connection, so it is unclear whether this is a new or long-term injury. But this is the first time he has been on the injured list with a finger problem.

The Blazers tip off at 19:00 against the Timberwolves in their first NBA Cup game of the season. There is no rest for either team as they play each other again Wednesday night in a regular season game. Both games are at the Moda Center in Portland.

UPDATE: The team has announced Ayton will miss tonight’s game. Donovan Clingan will start in his place.
