Jovantae Barnes out, wide receivers likely

That was it previously reported Friday of 247Sports that Barnes would miss the Missouri game.

OU wide receivers Deion Burks and Jalil Farooq remain likely to play in front Saturday’s match against the tigers.

“It opens up a lot of things,” the OU quarterback Jackson Arnold said of Burks and Farooq’s potential return.

“On top of that, it just builds a whole lot of confidence for our offense. We’re going into this week like, ‘Damn, we’ve got two of our studs left at receiver.'” We’ve had guys play well at receiver, but it’s like, ‘You get two knobs back,’ it’s a big confidence boost for the offense.”

Missouri quarterback Brady Cook is listed as out. Tigers running back Nate Noel is listed as likely to play against Before after ESPN reported Friday he is “expected to return” Saturday.

SEC teams must submit their reports the Wednesday before a Saturday conference game and update them daily until 90 minutes before kickoff.

The Before and the Tigers kick off at 6:45 p.m. Saturday on the SEC Network.
