Beyonce continues to make history with his acclaimed 2024 album, COWBOY CARTERthe sweeping odyssey through country music that has now earned 11 nominations at the 2025 Grammy Awards.

Despite Beyoncé being a hero close out by 2024 CMA AwardsFailing to earn a single nomination, she was named in cross-genre categories at the 2025 Grammys Awards, scheduled to be celebrated on February 2. In addition to the prestigious categories Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Album of the Year, songs from COWBOY CARTER landed in the country, pop, Americana and melodic rap categories. With this round of nominations, Beyoncé officially becomes the most nominated artist in Grammy Awards history with 99 nods across her storied career. COWBOY CARTER sits just behind the record set by Michael Jackson’s Thrillerwhich earned 12 nominations at the 1984 Grammy Awards. 11 nominations are also the most a woman has ever received in a single year at the Grammys.

Miley Cyrus, who was nominated along with Beyoncé in the Best Country Duo category for their track “II MOST WANTED,” celebrated news saying, “Riders of Shotgun forever! I love you Beyoncé, congratulations on all your well-deserved nominations!”
