Beyoncé leads with 11 as Chappell Roan, Sabrina Carpenter and Charli XCX dominate major categories

Music’s biggest night isn’t until February 2nd, but the 67th Annual Grammy Awards are poised to be a show not to be missed. Beyoncé, who made history with her country album Cowboy Carterleads the pack with 11 nominations. She is the most nominated artist in Grammy history.

Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan and Charli XCX, who all rose to fame this year, each earned their first nominations for Album of the Year. They will compete for the top prize with Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish and Beyoncé. Andre 3000 and Jacob Collier round out the category, which could come as a surprise to some.

Carpenter and Roan also earned nominations for Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best New Artist. The pop stars are the only artists to earn nominations across what are known as the “Big Four” categories.

It wasn’t just female singers who had breakout years. Country newcomer Shaboozey earned five nominations, including best new artist and song of the year for his smash hit “A Bar Song (Tipsy).”

As predicted, Kendrick Lamar’s big year continues as his Drake diss track “Not Like Us” was nominated for Song of the Year and Record of the Year. He earned seven nominations. He will go from the Grammys to the Super Bowl as next year’s headliner.

Lamar, Charli XCX, Post Malone and Billie Eilish follow Beyoncé – with seven nominations each. Swift scored six. Take a look at some of the notable nominations below.
