IRS, other federal agencies swarm Alfie Oakes’ Naples home and business

NAPLES, Fla. – Multiple law enforcement agencies surrounded the home of prominent Republican political figure and donor Alfie Oakes on Thursday.

A US Department of Defense spokesman confirmed that agents from the Defense Criminal Investigative Service (DCIS) were conducting “official law enforcement activity” at the home.

DCIS typically investigates cases involving fraud, bribery and corruption. However, the agency did not provide further information on the reason for their visit.

The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) was also on scene to assist.

A neighbor who arrived shortly after the news broke shared their reaction with Fox 4 News. “I’m shocked but not surprised,” she said. “I was just on my way home when a bunch of people texted me and I was like, ‘Oh my God, I’ve got to see what’s going on,'” she added.

The IRS has confirmed that its agents were conducting official business, but it remains unclear why they visited Oakes’ home in this manner.

Oakes was later seen leaving his house and getting into his blue “Trump 2024” car. When asked about the situation, he replied, “Go Trump,” but did not answer any other questions.

Agents also investigated at Oakes Farms in Immokalee. The location is a packinghouse where, according to the company’s website, it is one of the largest independently owned agricultural businesses in South Florida.

The company says they reach a global market in agriculture, packing, shipping and retail, also foodservice and seafood distribution.

Alfie Oakes is also a former politician. He was on the Collier County Republican Party Committee until this year. He is also an ambassador for Turning Point USA.

He was born in Delaware but grew up in Fort Myers.

The US Department of Defense Office of Inspector General (OIG) says agents are on the scene at Alfie Oakes’ Naples home and his Immokalee packing plant.

“We can confirm the presence of DCIS (Defense Criminal Investigative Services) agents conducting law enforcement activities at that address, but we have no additional information to provide at this time.”

Oakes is the owner of Seed to Table Supermarket and Oakes Farms.

According to the Government Publishing Office (GPO), the OIG investigates allegations of fraud involving “GPO contracts; improprieties in the administration of GPO programs and operations; allegations of employee misconduct; and other issues with a nexus to the GPO received through the OIG’s Hotline .”

The GPO says it “produces and distributes information products and services for all three branches of the federal government, including U.S. passports for the State Department, as well as the official publications of Congress, the White House, and other federal agencies in digital and print form.”
