Florida’s Todd Golden Accused of Creepily Stalking Students in a Bombing

Florida men’s basketball coach Todd Golden is accused of sexually exploiting, harassing and stalking an “undefined number of women,” according to a bombshell report from The Independent Florida Alligator.

The student newspaper cites a formal Title IX complaint in which Golden allegedly solicited sexual favors and sent photos and video of his genitalia via Instagram while traveling on school business.

He is also accused of taking pictures of women walking or driving and sending them to people involved in the complaint on more than one occasion.

A former Florida student claimed Golden personally stalked her after she posted her location on her Instagram story, to which Golden responded that he was “waiting for (her)” in the area — instances of this happening more than 10 times, she told The Alligator.

In addition, she says that the 39-year-old sent unsolicited pictures of his genitals, among other things, while his team was travelling.

“At first it starts off slow, like, ‘Oh, wow. This is weird. This guy is showing us attention,'” the woman told the magazine. “And then it becomes, ‘Wow, he’s kind of crossing a line. No, he didn’t mean it that way’. Then it’s, ‘Wait, he’s stepping fully over that line.’ And then it’s, ‘Wow, there’s a picture of his d–k.’ It was a full nursing process with all of us.”

A University of Florida spokesman told the outlet that the school complied with federal law and could neither confirm nor comment on Title IX inquiries, and the coaching staff did not immediately respond to a request for comment from the student newspaper.

Another woman told The Alligator that Golden wants more of her Instagram posts to get her attention before they remove likes to hide activity.

“He would go to such lengths about it,” one of the women told the newspaper.

“He would go back, like a year ago, and like ten pictures at once. Then (he) obviously followed up with a DM, always in disappearing mode… Just really aggressive Instagram stalking is the best way to put it on.”

The school reportedly received the formal Title IX complaint on Sept. 27.

Golden joined the Gators in 2022 after three seasons as the head coach at the University of San Francisco.

He led Florida to the NCAA Tournament in 2024, his second season at the school, with a 24-12 overall mark.

In multiple seasons with the Gators, he has compiled a record of 42-29, 20-16 in SEC play.

He played collegiately at Saint Mary’s, twice making the NCAA Tournament with the Gaels, and met his wife, former volleyball player Megan York, while there.

Earlier this year, he signed a contract extension that would keep him at the school until 2030.

The Gators are 2-0 to start the 2024-25 season, with a home game against Grambling State scheduled for Monday.
