Burger King has free sandwiches for National Fried Chicken Sandwich Day

Burger King gives chicken lovers something to beat their wings about.

In honor of National Fried Chicken Sandwich Day on Saturday, Nov. 9, the fast food chain is offering a free Royal Crispy Chicken Sandwich with any purchase of $5 or more.

The sandwich features a crisp breaded, white meat chicken breast fillet topped with sauce, lettuce and tomatoes and served on a toasted potato bun.

To take advantage of the promotion, customers must be members of the brand’s free loyalty program, Royal Perks. Members can activate the offer on the Burger King app or website.

Popeyes is also celebrating the day with free sandwiches. From October 28 to November 10, customers can choose from the new ghost pepper sandwich, the classic or spicy sandwich. The deal requires a minimum purchase of $10 through the Popeyes app. Fans can place a mobile order for pickup or delivery.

McDonald’s has two specials of its own to mark National Fried Chicken Sandwich Day: $2 McCrispy Sandwiches on Nov. 9 and $1 dozen Chicken McNuggets from Nov. 4 to Dec. 2. Both discounts are exclusive when ordering on the McDonald’s app.

Burger King is also looking forward to a more wildly celebrated holiday. On Friday 22 November, the chain will publish the BK Adventskalender. It’s priced at $19.54, but comes with over $100 worth of merchandise, according to a press release.

The full list of items will be revealed in mid-November. Eager fans can get “in line” for the advent calendar right when it goes on sale by texting ADVENT to 251-251.

Burger King has already teased that it will have “nods to favorites like Chicken Fries and the Whopper, and nostalgic nods (hello Burger King Kids Club!) to inspire unforgettable holiday memories.”

Those who choose to join the loyalty program – or are already members – will also get a chance to enjoy deals in December as Burger King has announced its “31 Days of Deals”, with digital exclusives such as free food and $0 delivery fees with a purchase.
