Minnesota Timberwolves vs Chicago Bulls Prediction, Odds & Picks

Minnesota has been sluggish to start the season; it’s only 4-3 SU and covered for just the second time all year in the last game against Charlotte. Forward Julius Randle is likely to make “friends” as he leads the team in assists so far. Fellow player Naz Reid has upped his scoring from last year’s breakout season, so getting rid of Karl-Anthony Towns seems like the smart play — especially given his salary.

The Bulls have lost their last 2 games to slip below .500 for the season. This isn’t a great team, so losses are expected – but less so to Brooklyn and Utah, who they were favored against. Chicago boasts a trio of 20 ppg scorers and wing Josh Giddey has looked pretty good on offense. Rookie forward Matas Buzelis may be more of a project than expected, but it’s still a pure development season.

Minnesota is favored, but it’s only 2-5 ATS so far. The Timberwolves have been favored in every game, including the opener. Although they have center Rudy Gobert anchoring the middle, they haven’t been an elite defensive team and their offense has been only slightly better than average. I think the Bulls at home – with more than enough viable offensive options – can keep it close enough.

Timberwolves vs Bulls Prediction: Chicago +6.5 (-110) available at time of publication. Can be played on that track.
