More snow is headed into the weekend for Colorado and Denver

School districts across the Denver metro area announced closings and delayed openings Wednesday due to the high snowfall in the region.

CBS Colorado meteorologists called for an initial weather alert for Wednesday, predicting 5 to 10 inches along the southeast and southwest of the metro area, 2 to 7 inches northeast of Denver and 1 to 5 inches closer to the city.

About 7 to 9 inches of snow was seen in Castle Rock on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, causing a delayed opening of Douglas County Schools. Other districts in Colorado experienced delays and even all-day closures.
