Chance of wind gusts and showers

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Looks like we’re going to need the umbrella several days this week across the Mid State

TODAY

We’re off to a warm start to the week across the Mid State with highs expected to top out near 80 this afternoon. It will be partly sunny and very windy today with gusts near 30 mph at times.

Tonight will be partly clear with lows in the mid 60s tomorrow morning.

ELECTION DAY

Tomorrow will be another hot and windy day. Highs will reach close to, if not into, the 80s again with more clouds than sun. Winds will still gust around 30 mph at some point during the day. If you plan to vote on Election Day, I wouldn’t completely rule out an isolated shower, but most of the rain should hold off until late in the day and overnight.

MIDDLE OF THE WEEK

A few scattered showers are expected to continue into our Wednesday with temperatures dropping back into the mid 70s by afternoon.

I can’t say no to a shower on Thursday, but several of us will end up staying dry with temperatures well into the mid-70s.

LATE WEEK & WEEKEND

We dry things out on Friday and even try to get some sunshine back in the afternoon. Friday, temperatures will hold steady in the mid-70s.

More chances of rain this weekend, but right now it doesn’t look like anything that would wash out any of your weekend plans.

Only a few showers through Saturday and Sunday with temperatures in the lower to mid 70s.
